Ida Vera Thurston married Jack Kellum in May 1916.  They lived in Toronto.  He was from Waterford, Norfolk County.  They had two children - Jack Thurston Kellum and William Blake.  Jack died Sept 24, 1972 and is buried in Old Methodist Evergreen Cemetery in Lynnedoch, Norfolk County.  

William Blake was born in 1923.  On Feb 2, 1928 Vera and the two children took a trip by train through Detroit.  The passenger card said they were visiting her sister Fledda in Houston Texas.  At some point she returned to Ontario.  Her first husband died in 1949.  At some point she married John Wilson.  

Ida Vera Thurston seemed to be collecting US social security in 1959-1960 - Massachusetts - death reported by the US consulate - Perhaps living with her sister for a while after John died? 

Death certificate indicates she was a "widow" - so had not remarried after John died.

Obituary

Delhi, August 16 - A native of Lynedoch and a former well known resident of Delhi, Harry Howard Kellum, of Montreal, passed away suddenly at his home there on Sunday in his 53rd year. He was born at Lynedoch, son of the former Esther Wilson Kellum and the late Warren Kellum, and moved to Delhi with his parents at an early age, receiving his schooling here. Mr Kellum later was employed in a bank and when the First Great War broke out he enlisted at Winnipeg. Later he became an accountant with the Clare Shipbuilding Co. at Montreal where he had since resided. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Besides his mother, who resides in Delhi, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs Harold Cunningham, Mrs Ethel Devitt and Mrs Mae Strout, all of Delhi, and two brothers, Jack of Toronto and Jay of Paris. The remains were removed to the Grey Funeral home, Delhi, where the funeral services were held at 2:30 this afternoon. Rev E.J.Dale, a former Delhi minister and Rev, P.H.Lawson, of Delhi, conducted the service. The pallbearers were W.E.Sutherland, Gordon Wilbur, Harold Heath, W.H.Smith, Jack Ackerman and Arthur Wilson. Interment was in Delhi Cemetery.

He was married to Hilda Mary MILLS  on Aug 31 1919 in England.  Hilda Mary MILLS was born on Nov 24 1896 at 25 Husley Street, Queens Park, Chelsea, England. Her mother was Ellen Farrel Flowers and her father, Charles Frederick Mills who was a Police Sergeant.    She died on Jun 9 1996. A service took place at Beckenham Church, followed by a cremation. Hilda Mary Mills remains were scattered with her son’s at Hanworth Crematorium.
